In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county in honor of her father, who never learned to read or write. That idea lives here too. Every month, children across LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam counties find a free book in the mailbox, thanks to NCRBC and the neighbors, partners, and donors who fund it.
